13 Arrested In Anti-Fracking Ban

Thirteen members of the anti-fracking advocate group that stormed the Maryland State House this week have been arrested. The group demanded that the Maryland Senate pass a permanent ban on fracking in the state after the House of Delegates voted last week to pass the bill 97-40. Supporters of the ban were willing to be arrested today so that the State Senate would know their serious nature of the ban. They’re saying that fracking would threaten drinking water and the local economy throughout Maryland.
