2 environmental appeals on Rehoboth’s Ocean Outfall project

As work continues on Rehoboth Beach’s Ocean outfall project, two environmentalists have are  trying  to stop it. Suzanne Thurman and Gregg Rosner say the project violates the marine mammal protection act which protects t seals, whales, porpoises and dolphins in the area. They have filed separate appeals with DNREC asking for an independent review of the $52 million outfall project. The two  appeals will be heard—one next month and one in January. Thurman and Rossner says their pleas ar a long shot  since some  digging for the outfall is actually complete. DNREC is not commenting.
