Summer Food Bank Program to Give Children the Meals They Need PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 15 June 2009

Summer is in full gear and that means the Food Bank of Delaware has begun their 2009 Summer Food Service Program.

The program which began today will continue over the next two months, and its volunteers will prepare and deliver approximately 200,000 free meals to 4,000 children statewide.  Now that the school year is done, more than 40,000 children in Delaware loose their school nutrition programs and the Food Bank Program becomes vital.  If you would like to volunteer your time, go to http://www.gdb.org/ or call 302-292-1305.
