State Senator Robert Venables is being treated for injuries from a boating accident. An employee of the senator said he and a fishing buddy were injured when their boat hit a buoy. Senate Assistant Bonnie Wood said Venables had a cut over his eye and sore ribs after the crash yesterday near Ragged Point in Dorchester County. The senator was able to drive the boat to shore and report the emergency. Both men were taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
