49 people were cited in the past week for seat belt violations.  This campaign was started after the state’s seat belt usage dropped from 91% to 88% and officials say 59% of drivers and passengers killed since January 1st have not been buckled up.  The campaign began 10 weeks ago – and a total of 644 people have been cited for seat belt violations.
