Parents who have children in public school, and their children have asthma seem to be worried about what they should do with their children because the nasal vaccine is not recommended for children with asthma. Dr. Karyl Rattay of the Delaware Division of Public Health told WGMD’s Dan Gaffney what they should do.

She says the school campaign is to help alleviate primary care physicians so that they are not overwhelmed. She adds that primary care physicians have been getting vaccines in slowly. For more information on other options Public Health is making available, go to flu.delaware.gov.
