A Milford woman has been arrested for shoplifting items from two local stores. The store manager at Redner’s watched 54 year old Patricia Jones take items by putting them into a grocery bag of another customer and then leave the store. While Milford Police investigated that incident, an employee of Cypress Wine & Spirits, next to Redner’s told officers that Jones tried to take items from that store as well, but was confronted by store management and the merchandise recovered.
A Milford woman wanted on outstanding warrants was arrested by Georgetown Police last week. 48 year old Martisia Gibbs was returned to Milford where she was charged with criminal mischief and harassment. Milford Police say she went to a home at the Brightway Commons where she twice threw a bottle at a home – breaking windows – after the residents told Gibbs they didn’t want any contact with her.
Milford Police have arrested a woman who attacked a victim causing a minor injury last week. Police say 47 year old Jill Griffith was speaking to the victim at the Brightway Commons when the incident occurred. Griffith is charged with offensive touching and was also found to be wanted through the Kent County Court of Common Pleas. She was released on an unsecured bail.
