Collision detours traffic for 90 min on Route 24 in Angola
A crash that detoured westbound traffic on Route 24 in Angola resulted in a Wilmington man being cited for following to closely. An SUV towing a camper driven by a man from Canada was stopped for the light at Robinsonville Road when a truck driven by 19 year old Corey Novak failed to stop and rear-ended the camper. Traffic was detoured for about 90 minutes.

Delaware State Police Monday July 26, 2010 responded to the intersection of Robinsonville Road and John J. Williams Hwy Lewes. State Police investigated a crash which occurred around 2:18 p.m. and had traffic diverted for approximately ninety minutes while the scene was cleared.
The investigation revealed that a 2009 Toyota Venza driven by Sonny Houle of Quebec, Canada was stopped for a traffic light on John J. Williams Hwy. The second vehicle a 2005 White Ford F-250 was eastbound on John J. Williams Hwy directly behind the Toyota closing in at an unsafe speed.
The operator of the Ford F-250 Corey T. Novak failed to stop and crashed into the rear of a camper trailer attached to the Toyota. The Ford F-250 nearly traveled through the entire trailer portion before coming to a stop.
No injuries were reported with the crash and Fire Police and DelDot had to divert traffic for nearly ninety minutes while Troopers cleared the crash scene.
Novak was charged with following too close, unsafe speed, no valid insurance and expired registration. Novak was released after being cited.
