UPDATE: Woman dies in Angola trailer fire

UPDATE:  Tragedy in Angola this morning after a deadly fire in a mobile home. Shortly after midnight firefighters from the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company responded to a call on the 23000 block of Lawrence Lane in Angola Crest.

The blaze was raging inside a mobile home, and a woman was trapped in the back bedroom. However, by the time fire crews reached her, she was already dead. The woman’s body is being transported to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science for an autopsy.

The Delaware’s State Fire Marshal is still investigating the cause and origin of the fire. Fire damage is estimated to be $30,000.

An occupant is reportedly trapped after fire erupted in a single-wide house trailer on Lawrence Lane in Angola Crest I.

The fire was reported around 12:03 a.m. this morning.  Firefighters from Rehoboth Beach, Lewes and Indian River are on the scene.
