The Freeman Stage, off Route 54 east of Selbyville, will celebrate its 10th season of bringing the arts to everyone. Governor John Carney made his first visit to the Freeman Stage and says it won’t be his last. They will offer a diverse selection of dance, theatre, children’s performances and live music – highlighted this season by several national recording acts – including the Tedeschi Trucks Band, comedian Jay Leno, the O’Jays, Blues Traveler, Hunter Hayes, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Chicago and Mary Chapin Carpenter. Tickets will go on sale beginning April 3, and more acts will be added to the ever-growing calendar of events. There are also many free performances and Saturday mornings belong to the kids with a wide variety of music, fun and art. As US Senator Tom Carper said via video from Washington, DC – “It’s going to be HUGE!” That sentiment was echoed by all who spoke.
