After onths of construction, Airport Road in Milford is back open to traffic. The road has been re-paved; there are still a few touch ups and minor striping work to be done. The project was supposed to have been finished in January 2018 but will now be complete a month early.
Milford Public Works director Mark Whitfield says it was a team effort to get it done; he says sometime soon they hope to repair the intersection of ne 10th street and 113 that leads into airport road.
That work, he says, will be done at night. Once the work is 100 percent complete, there will be an official ribbon cutting for Airport Road; that should take place in early December.
