Bernard Pepukai Switches Parties and Files as GOP Candidate for AG

A longtime Democrat is switching parties to run for Delaware Attorney General. Lawyer Bernard Pepukai filed papers Monday to change his party affiliation to Republican. His decision follows the withdrawal of Peggy Marshall Thomas from the race earlier this month which left the GOP without a candidate.  Thomas said she was leaving the race for personal family reasons.  Delaware State GOP Chairman Mike Harrington told WGMD’s Mike Bradley that Pepukai has worked closely with Republicans in the past.
