Atkins Ethics Investigation

January 10th, 2007 by Dan Gaffney

BREAKING:

Atkins calls for an ethics investigation of himself.

Read it here.

House Republican spokesman Joe Fulgahm ads:

“Attached is a pdf of the letter John Atkins discussed with you a few moments ago.

John Atkins is the first House member to request such a hearing on the incidents of Oct. 29th in which he was involved in Ocean City, MD. Under House Rules, the Ethics Committee will decide the scope and detail of the investigation.
The Ethics Committee hearing will be scheduled and posted, but the proceedings will be closed. (This is similar to what most public bodies do when they discuss personnel issues.) At the conclusion of the hearing, a report will be delivered to the House of Representatives and will be available to the public.
The hearing has not be scheduled, but it is expected to take place prior to the start of the JFC Break at the end of the month.”
..More details to come.
