Are you morons on drugs? Auctioning off a puppy? You won’t get any votes or financial support here I can tell you that. But I promise I will pass this on so more animal lovers can see how desperate and low some Republicans can go. You might as well give it up anyway since the jerk you have in office now has screwed all of you Republicans.

The auction of a defenseless puppy is morally and ethically wrong. I realize that candidates need to raise money but this is not the way. I’m sure this started as an innocent idea but you need to know what all responsible breeders know, that a puppy should be “placed” in a good, safe, responsible and loving “forever” home. Every responsible breeder knows that “Christmas Puppies” usually end up not wanted in the long run and eventually find themselves in shelters or in some other type of trouble. There is no way to guarantee that this puppy will be placed in a forever home if it is sold to the hightest bidder. Not every puppy is for every family. This is an important decision that should be made wisely by the breeder and potential “forever” family. I sincerely hope that you will reconsider this auction of a puppy. The puppy deserves to be “placed” not auctioned.

Auctioning off a puppy at a Republican Live Puppy Auction, is appalling.
What could this committee be thinking. Certainly nothing Humane. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

As a Labrador Retriever owner, member of an AKC Club, supporter of breed rescue - and, I am sorry to say a registered Republican this is UNACCEPTABLE!!!
Responsible breeders and sellers interview prospective owners to find the right fit and home for their animals.
There are responsibilities that come with owning a live animal……..
why not auction off a useless Republican politician……….. no interview necessary!

Who was the brain that thought this would be a good idea?

Just another unacceptable idea by Republicans in lower, slower Delaware -

This may have sounded like a good idea and had the best of intentions - but as a Labrador Retriever owner, member of a Kennel CLub, breed rescue supporter and - I’m sorry to say, a registered Republican - THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCPETABLE!!!!!
Not all puppies are for all homes and RESPONSIBLE breeders interview their prospective buyers at length. If the Republican party auctions off this live puppy to the highest bidder are they willing to guarantee if the dog does not work out for any reason they will take it back and refund the money? Are they willing to guarantee that the puppy will not end up in a shelter because it was an impulse party purchase ???
Everyone knows that Holiday pet purchases are usually never the right answer -
That adorable, cute live animal is not a party favor!
There is still time to fix this!

You people must be complete idiots! As a Labrador owner member of AKC and a local kennel club, Puppies are not for everyone especially at this time of the year. Any responsible dog breeder would NEVER sell a dog of this type of event or at this time of the year. This is a living, breathing, loving animal that desrvices much more than an impulse purchase. Furthermore responsible breeders have contracts so that the animal doesn’t end up in a shelter when the winning bidder has no clue how to train this dog as it gets to be 70 pounds. Dogs are companion animals and love their owners. They don’t understand that they were just window dressing for some stupid poitical gala. Just one more reason for me not to vote for any Republician. If some one want a puppy go to a respo9nsible breeder and learn about the breed and if it will fit into your life. These dogs are large and if not trained can be distructive. Maybe they can chew the speech! Besides AKC advocates that a “puppy is not for Christmas, it is for life!”
