The Magic Political Prediction Microphone Wins Again

On June 18, I predicted Aaron Chaffinch (D) would step in to fill the seat vacated by Representative Ben Ewing. Today, June 25th, WGMD news reports he has just filed to run:
Another hat has been thrown into the 35th District ring. Former State Police Superintendent Aaron Chaffinch is hoping to succeed Representative Ben Ewing for that seat now that Ewing has announced his retirement at the end of his term. Chaffinch is running as a Democrat against Sussex County Register of Wills David Wilson, who is running as a Republican.
I love that old time magic microphone! Here is another vibe I’m getting:
Chaffinch will win. So will former Representative and new Democrat John Atkins. Looking at a few other statewide races and it seems like the Democrats will take over the Delaware House of Representatives in November. Can you say Majority Leader Pete Schwartzkopf?

I think Atkins will win as well, as he is the best man for the job. I don’t care what party he represents, he is a “people man”. He knows what we need as residents, property owners, and taxpayers. He is young and well rounded as a politician. People may look down on him because of what happened, but oh well. When I go to vote, it will be for the person who can get the job done, and that is Atkins, like it or not

I believe democrats will have a strong showing in the upcoming election as well, but one republican that will play a part in the elections is Bill Lee. Many were turned away by his sketchy desicion to actually run, but he will get alot of votes. John Carney is radical at best and his far left approach will scare many voters in a time like now, where economically, we need to be not so much conservative, but careful. Good luck to Bill, he gets my nod, as futile as that might sound.

I still don’t understand why the Republicans were able to banish this loser (Atkins) from the party and yet apparently he is free to simply call himself and Democrat and run as one? Why is the Democratic party incapable of equal control over who runs on their ticket.

Experience politician like John Carney or Jack Markell will beat Bill Lee a.k.a The John Mccain of the Delaware Governor’s race. I believe this is last shot to run for governor. Age plays the part. If the republicans were really serious; they should have backed Terry Spence . He can seriously beat Carney or Markell.
