  1. Perry Says:

Christine O’Donnell demonstrated on WGMD that she is just another Bush neocon. Even Bush has begun to overcome his own ideology lately, but not Christine.

Obviously Bill Colley is smitten with her. I’m surprised he didn’t propose on the spot. Maybe he did!

Seriously, haven’t we had enough of her kind of exclusive ideology?

On the other hand, Joe Biden is a thinking man who responds to the issues of the day in a relatively non-ideological fashion. He is an astute pragmatist, which is why he is respected not only here but the world over. Who does the media go to for his view on foreign affairs? Can you imagine Christine O’Donnell, the darling of Fox Noise, in Biden’s seat?

Some of you folks criticize Obama for his lack of experience, but grow silent when the subject of Christine O’Donnell comes up. Where is your consistency of principle?

If only we had a few more Christine O’Donnells running for office in Delaware.

  3. Bill Colley Says:

Joe Biden non-idealogical? Don’t Bogart that joint, pass it over to me. Christine gets the same treatment all my guests get. She takes calls from listeners. And I answer the telephones.

  4. A New GOP Voice Says:

I think Lee wants Christine’s phone number.

  5. Fabio Says:

Biden is just like the smoke stack on the Indian River power plant. They both blow no good contaminated air. I disagree that he is well respected. Biden is the laughing stock of the US. When he ran for president this year he was practically made fun of by the most liberal news agencies out there like NBC. We are talking about a guy that has the record of the “Politician that Lies the Most”. He really has accomplished nothing since 72′. He outlawed steroids in baseball, gave a tax write off for parents of college students (poor kids that parents don’t help), put on 60,000 more cops at one time but if you ask him it’s 100000, and he had his little glory days with Bosnia. That about sums it up. IMO, he just does a lot of talking and nothing else. I’d like to see O’Donnell in and Biden out. She is right it’s time for a change. As for her lack of experience, as a senator it’s not as big of an issue as the president but I never complained about that in the first place. However, Mozart and Beethoven didn’t learn to write symphony’s over night but once they learned they were good at it.

  6. macb Says:

The media goes to Biden because he never says he’s too busy or otherwise occupied (how could he be?). On slow news weeks they have Biden on the Sunday programs, otherwise they have people with something to say on specific news events. He’s filler.

I can just hear Russert now: “Can’t get anybody on my list? OK, call Biden then, we’ll punt.”

  7. Nancy Cleveland Says:

Not so much a fan of Biden but O’Donnell?? Like every other candidate this year “time for a change” is her mantra…which, honestly no-one disputes but if we all really wanted a change then we’ve blown it. Do you really see any of these candidates…local or national…effecting the changes needed? All mouth, little to nothing substantial, flip-flopping already…good luck!

  8. Bill Colley Says:

Nancy, once in awhile the stars align and you say something that makes me smile. God bless.

  9. Fabio Says:

The problem is I don’t think there is a candidate anywhere that I am a fan of. There are just people that need to go. I agree with ya Nancy. No one is doing their jobs and representing the people. No one is stepping up that can either. Politics is a business and power trip more than ever. “Forget the average joe American” should be the motto of them all.

  10. Perry Says:

To go to one of Christine’s positions, she is for drilling for oil. That may be OK as one approach for the intermediate term (10-20 years, but what about non-fossil energy alternatives? Not a word from her on that, nor from Bill Colley, to my knowledge. We need some vision here!

Instead, Bill Colley attacks what he calls the “environmental whackos” and the “liberals who hate America”. If you don’t agree with Bill, then that is what he calls you. Come off it Bill, for a change; let’s talk about this.

If you want some other views, here is a business case against going only for drilling (by Tommywonk), and for going past drilling to a future vision on energy independence and global protection (by noman). Please check this Conservative blog out, so you can see other sides of this issue:

  12. macb Says:

Perry: Please show me some examples of conservatives being “only” for drilling”. I know many conservatives who have been for wind, wave, solar and other alternative forms of energy since long before the myth of global warming reared its Gorey head.

I’ll always come back to the position that ordinary garden variety pollution is reason enough to avoid burning things, of any composition, to produce energy. But we DO have to keep things going while we work on the alternatives and it has been the lefties that want to have our country commit suicide while the rest of the world keeps increasing its use of petrochemicals.

I didn’t hear the program in question, but just because they only talked about drilling (if that was the case) does not mean that this individual, or conservatives in general ONLY favor drilling for energy production.

It would be like me saying that liberals ONLY favor higher taxes as a solution to all the countries problems, except my statement would be much closer to the truth.
