He should drop out of the Senate race in Delaware, and not run for two offices at once. It’s just not right!
August 23rd, 2008 at 7:15 am
Congratulations to the Senior Senator, good luck …

So long Joe - - - Thank Goodness…
The man’s been in office longer than I’ve been alive -
and it’s about time for King Joe To GO!
I agree - he should drop from the Senate Race -
- no man can run two races, or serve two masters -
and that will give Christine O’Donnell the room she
needs to move into position!
Either way - I can’t wait to call Christine O’Donnell
our future Senator from Delaware! Go get ‘em!

Dumbest thing Obama has ever done. He is getting made fun of big time all over the world. I’ve heard people who don’t know who he is. They are making fun of UD the school he went to. They are making fun of his hair plugs. They are making fun of his stupid, outlandish remarks. So congrats to Delaware, we are the laughing stock of the Nation. I think Karl Rove said it best. He said that Obama made this decision because he is weak on foreign policy but the VP should never be chosen because of your weakness but because the man is fit to lead the country if God forbid something happened to the president. Biden was asked by Alan Colmes if he would never take the VP spot if asked when he was dropping out of the presidential race. So again the lies never end with the man and as I said before he is just full of smoke. Biden has also criticized Obama and complimented the McCain compaign so far. This is a bad day for the Obama campaign.

Lurker: technically Biden can do it. If Biden loses the VP alongside with Obama then he can keep his senate seat; on the other hand, If he wins then there will be a special election to fill his seat. Lurker, I give you example - John Kerry; he run & lost the 2004 presidency & kept his seat. IF LURKER & ANY WGMD BLOGGER COMPLAINS ABOUT IT, THEN DAVE WILSON SHOULD GIVE UP HIS REGISTER OF WILLS POSITION ; IF HE’S RUNNING FOR BEN EWING’S STATE STATE SENATE SEAT!!!! I consider it fair!!!

This is pretty simple. Someone ask him how committed he is to being vice-president, or helping obama become president, or some permutation of such. Of course he has to reply, “completely”, then ask him if he is willing to demonstrate that complete committment by withdrawing from his race for senate, to show americans that he is completely committed, blah blah blah…

Dear God Gertrude !!!!!!! Let us hope they are blowing smoke out their butts and Hillary gets nominated at the convention. I don’t like her either, but that would knock the messiah down a few notches, ya think?????? PS, please , you all remember that I am a very nice person !!!!!

Yes.
I think I may get sick.

The Obama/Biden ticket…just one more reason to back the Baldwin/Castle ticket.
Good to hear Chuck Baldwin on the podcast a week or so back, by the way.

I’m glad his hair plugs finally took.

I like the pick because I like Joe Biden personally and I respect his competence and experience.
On experience, especially foreign policy, Biden is is a needed complement/adviser to Obama.
Moreover, since he goes back 35 years in the Senate, he represents now the collegiality so lacking in Congress today. It will be great to have this attitude in the Executive Branch, so lacking in recent years.
Face it, the President and Congress have to respect one another and work closely together to get things done. I would have thought the same of McCain, until this campaign in which he has decided to burn bridges in order to get elected, sadly.
Biden comes from humble beginnings in Scranton, PA, and has had his share of hard knocks and tough luck along the way. He’s also made his share of mistakes. The fact that he has remained an influential individual in government attests to the fact that he learns from mistakes and misfortune.
All that said, there is still a lot of ground to cover between now and election day. I think with Biden Obama has enhanced his chances for success.

He’s afraid he won’t win. That’s why none of them resign like they should. If you really believe in yourself, you resign your day job and let someone else get appointed who will put in an honest’s day work.

Anybody know how I can get in touch w. Maria Evans? Apparently, I owe her aan apology - big time. I never thoughts “the adults” in the Democratic Party would go for this.
Cheers!

It is just amazing the hatred Republicans and others have for Senator Joe Biden, as seen right here in this thread, and heard on the air this morning, caller after caller.
Yes, he has made a fool of himself on occasion, yes, you may not like that he leans liberal, or you may poke fun at his hair obsession, but this man is respected the nation and world over for his expertise in foreign policy. Of that fact there is no question.
Moreover, he has served our nation for 38 years. Is this the thanks he gets for his service?
Calm down, folks, give the man his due, then go ahead and speak for the candidate of your choice, or against the policies of the candidate(s) you do not like. That way even your political opponents will respect you, and you can respect yourself for maintaining your courtesy and civility!

Perry
Go soak your head.
August 25th, 2008 at 12:33 pm
I’m all for it. Glad to see Delaware on the national map.
August 25th, 2008 at 1:16 pm
Seems strange to me, Perry, for all the derision and complaining about Biden (as we see and hear, even long before this weekend and over how many elections?) he gets re-elected. Guess our Sussex countians don’t get he must have done/be doing something right and majority rules.
As to the comments I’ve heard regarding all that has been said (this weekend in particular) about his having been born in Pennsylvania which indicates Delawarians don’t like this (they don’t like him but they still want him identified with Delaware, not PA…lolol)…can’t have it both ways folks! If one isn’t born in Delaware you consider us ‘incomers’ no matter how long we live here or even if we die here. Y’all are just being ‘picky, picky, picky’. Will you do the same with O’Donnell should she ever get elected to anything (saints preserve us!).
August 25th, 2008 at 8:59 pm
I like the majority of Delawarians will vote for Obama-Biden and not for Exxon-Mccain!
August 25th, 2008 at 9:04 pm
O’Donnell….Is she the one that keeps spreading the lie that even Vice President Darth Vader retracted about China drilling in our waters?
August 25th, 2008 at 9:58 pm
Why the fuss of Biden running for two elected positions. This should not surprise anyone. He belongs to the party that gave us super delegates. In the Democrat primary, a super delegate does not have to vote the way the people voted. They can vote they want to. Remember every vote counts. Just ask the voters in Michigan and Florida. If the democrats used the same system the Republicans did then Hillary would be the nominee.
August 26th, 2008 at 9:22 pm
Hey Perry, I’m a democrat who thinks Joe should have gone at least a couple of terms ago. He stopped being a DE senator, and became a national office holder wanna-be long ago. A can smell the foul odor of Obiden foot-in-mouth getting very near. Oh, what’s this? 2 days after announcing the VP choice - Obama has fallen behind McCain in the Gallup poll….Oh my!
August 27th, 2008 at 9:03 pm
Will you people wake up. There will be no need for another election Big Ruth Ann will be able to appoint his vacant position in January. And guess what, with Bo Biden part of the 261st Signal Del Guard ( the Guards home for the sick lame and lazy and deployment duckers) going to Kuwait. He’ll be the Democrats war hero (ala Kerry) what a great support the troops moment when he fills his father’s seat. And he’ll have the military credentials his father does not have.
If you really want to see the Senator from MBNA (as he was called on the floor of the Senate) in action look into the Sherry Freeberry- tom Gordon- Joe Biden connection. Who do you think Freeberry had the county detectives in the phone bank in her basement calling folks to support.
August 28th, 2008 at 11:42 am
I firmly support the Obama-Biden ticket! As VP, Biden will be a very strong, knowledgeable adviser-agent to Obama. Yes, Joe Biden ‘may’ put his foot in his mouth at times but that’s far better than some senators that hang out in airport bathrooms. You have to wonder what some of these so-called righteous, moral Senators put in their mouths while calling up their dating services and or chasing underage page boys around the offices of the Senate building. This country ‘could do’ and ‘has done’ alot worse in VP choices! When Obama-Biden defeat the all powerful morally-righteous; Senator Biden will still have those so-called ’smelly feet’ planted firmly in the Senate as the President of the Senate.

No you din’t…..
I’d love to hear you actually SAY this, in public. (The keyboard can be a powerful instrument and obviously one that hides a great big “kitty”, like you.)
