The debate will be all about Sarah Palin, since Joe Biden is well known.

Let us see if Palin steps up to these minimal reasonable requirements:

“Gov. Palin needs to demonstrate a real understanding of complex issues. Simple talking points won’t cut it. She needs to make clear she grasps the difficult policy challenges that the next administration will confront. If she doesn’t the debate will quickly turn into her own version of Thursday Night Live. “

If Joe Biden and Sarah Palin have been give the questions ahead of time, I don’t expect to much on either side. Sen. Biden will give his normal responses and Mrs. Palin will have been prepped on what to say and will sound informed. Now, if the questions are off the cuff then I say we have a whole new ball game. Yes, Mr. Biden can ramble and maybe say a few gaffs but, Mrs. Palin has proven on just about every interview that she was not aware of a question has been stumped. When asked anything (even something as small as “what reading material she has read” before being asked to be Sen. McCains running mate throws her for a loop. Now, I want to give her a chance, but from what I have seen (when the McCain camp has let her off the leash to talk) has been a mess!

I am very excited that either way this race ends up it will change history, but I truly think that if Sen. McCain where honest with himself and he truly wanted a woman on his ticket, he could have chosen several others. Kay Bailey Hutchison for one.
