Citizen’s Police Academy In Georgetown


If you’re looking to learn more about what the Delaware State Police do and help them out, then you’ll want to be in Georgetown in the coming months. The 2017 Spring State Police Citizen’s Police Academy is set to begin in late April, and classes will teach you about a wide variety of police activity, including criminal and traffic investigations, special units and law enforcements. The classes begin Thursday, April 20 and the following eight Thursdays, until June 8. Class will be 5:30-8 p.m. each Thursday, and most are at the Sussex Emergency Operations Center in Georgetown. Class size will be capped at 20 and the deadline to register is April 7. You can find an application on the State Police Citizen’s Police Academy Page. You’ll have to take a background check before you can take the class.
