The Indian River School District is sponsoring a series of free financial aid workshops for students and their families to promote college awareness and enrollment. Every year, talented Delaware students do not apply to college because they think they cannot afford it. Through these workshops, participants will learn that financial aid of all varieties is more accessible than ever before and with some pre-planning, families will find that college is within their reach.
"Completing the FAFSA” – Tuesday, January 14, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Indian River High School Library. Jeffrey Hanson, Financial Aid Consultant, will take families on a tour of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and provide an overview of the information required to check your eligibility for federal college funding. FASFA submission assistance dates will be announced for both high schools at this workshop for families who need guided help in completing their individual FAFSA forms.
No pre-registration is required to attend these free events. Please contact Michele Murphy at (302) 732-1522 or Michele.Murphy@irsd.k12.de.usfor additional information.
