Dr. Gary Wray will lecture on the World War II military installation at Cape Henlopen at 2 p.m. Jan. 18 at Zwaanendael Museum, 102 Kings Highway, Lewes. This will be the second in an eight-part series about Delaware’s Decades and will focus on the 1940s at Fort Miles.
Dr. Wray has been president of the Fort Miles Historical Association since its founding in 2003, and is the co-author of a book about Fort Miles that was published by Arcadia Press in 2005. He is also a professor of military history at Wilmington University, the University of Maryland, and Delaware Technical and Community College.
The historical association is restoring Fort Miles to its World War II appearance.
