DelDOT will close a portion of Route 26/Millsboro Highway between Collins Road and Daisy Road for the replacement of the bridge over Gum Branch near Gumboro starting next week.

The road will be closed at 7 a.m. on Monday, February 11 until 4 p.m. on Friday, April 5, pending weather. 

This project involves the replacement of the existing corrugated metal pipes with a precast concrete three-sided frame. Additional work includes minor reconstruction of the roadway approach, installation of the guardrail as needed, and placement of riprap in the stream to prevent further erosion.
