The Commissioners presented County Health Officer Debbie Goeller with a proclamation making the declaration during their meeting yesterday. The purpose is to highlight how parents can promote healthy dental habits for their children.

The Worcester County Health Department says proper oral health not only allows people to talk, chew and taste food, and have a good appearance, but also prevents a variety of diseases, including oral cancer and heart disease.
