There have been 44 arson fires in Accomack County since November 12. All of the fires have been set at night and all have been in abandoned buildings; there have NOT been any injuries as a result of the fires.

Now, Virginia State Police and the State Fire Marshal are saying that the fires are the work of several people, NOT a lone arsonist; police say they believe the fires are being set by a group of people, working together.

Police are urging anyone who sees anything suspicious or anything out of the ordinary, to report it immediately.
