Former DSP Superintendent Nominated for DOC Commissioner

It’s been 2 weeks since Carl Danburg stepped down as the Commissioner of Corrections and now Governor Markell has nominated former State Police Superintendent Robert Coupe for Commissioner of Correction.  The DOC is the second largest Executive branch agency in the state – and its over 2500 employees supervise up to 7000 inmates and about 17,000 probationers.  Danburg left the DOC after being appointed to a judgeship.
