The Delaware Association of Conservation Districts is asking people to think about where the water they use on their properties goes.
The association is taking part in the 58th annual Soil and Water Stewardship Week, from April 28 to May 5. The theme for this year is “Where Does Your Water Shed?” The theme focuses on the fact that less than one percent of all the water on Earth is fresh water. In the U.S., each person uses 70 gallons of water a day.
Delaware Association President Wendy Baker will be leading a stewardship celebration. Governor Jack Markell will sign a proclamation recognizing the week. On April 17, the winners of the Governor’s Conservation Awards will be recognized during a ceremony at the Ag Museum in Dover.
