Easton Man Charged with Animal Cruelty After Leaving Dog in Hot Car

Easton Police have charged a 53-year-old Easton man with animal cruelty after he allegedly left his dog inside his car parked at Wal-Mart July 7.

Police say Dennis Tuttle left the dog inside the car while he went shopping for more than 30 minutes. The dog was in distress by the time officers were able to get it out of the car.

Police say temps at the time were 88 degrees with a heat index of 95; police say it could have very well been over 100 degrees inside the vehicle.
