Progress is being made in the drainage improvement project on Isabella Street in Salisbury.
The Maryland State Highway Administration will begin the next phase of the project on Monday. Isabella Street will be closed to all traffic between Mill Street and Park Avenue 24 hours a day for three weeks, through August 27. The closure will allow the contractor to install a new water main and storm drain.
Traffic will be detoured around the closure, and area residents will still have access to their homes. The detour will take westbound drivers from Isabella Street to Business Route 50, Division Street and Mill Street. The eastbound detour will go in the opposite direction.
The entire project is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2014.
