Water Lines Will Be Flushed in Ocean Pines Area

Sep 18, 2013 -- 8:02am

The Worcester County Public Works Department’s Water and Wastewater Division will begin flushing waterlines in Ocean Pines and the surrounding area next month.

The waterline flushing will begin during the week of October 7 in the area around the River Run community and Showell Elementary School. The Public Works Department says even if your area isn’t getting its waterlines flushes, you may still find your tap water becoming discolored. If this happens, let the water run for a few minutes until it runs clear.

Schedule for waterline flushing:

Week of October 7 - Sections 2, 3, 7, River Run, and Showell Elementary

Week of October 14 - Sections 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, and Harbor Village

Week of October 21 - Sections 12, 14a, 14b, 14c, 14d, and Mumfords Landing

Week of October 28 - Sections 9, 11, 13, Village Square, Manklin Creek area, Pennington Commons, and Cathell Road Extension

Week of November 4 - Sections 10, 15a, 15b, 16, 17 and Bay Point Plantation
