Oct 01, 2013 -- 10:23am

UPDATE - 1:40pm -  One man is dead after a crash between a pickup and a DART Para-transit bus just before 10am.  Police are still investigating, but say the pickup was westbound on Old Furnace Road and swerved into the eastbound lanes colliding with the bus on the driver’s side.  The bus went off the roadway into a ditch and overturned once before landing upright.  The pickup rotated in the roadway where it stopped.  A third car behind the bus swerved to avoid the crash and went off the roadway and into a ditch finally stopping in a yard.  The driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene.  The bus driver and 7 passengers were taken to area hospitals and the woman driving the car was taken to Nanticoke Memorial with non-life threatening injuries.  Old Furnace Road has reopened to traffic.
