The Delaware Department of Safety and Homeland Security will hold a pair of public hearings over the next two weeks to review its regulations.
The department will hold hearings next Tuesday night, January 15, beginning at 6 o’clock in the Longwood Auditorium in the Bank of America Building at Delaware State University. The following week, a hearing will be held at 6 pm on January 23 in the second floor auditorium at the Carvel State Office Building in Wilmington.
The hearings are being held as part of Governor Jack Markell’s Executive Order 36, which requires all Cabinet agencies to hold public hearings and gather input on their regulations to identify and remove unnecessary regulations. Public comments on DSHS regulations will be accepted through March 1.
