Delaware State Police Investigating Home Invasion Outside of Dover

Nov 12, 2013 -- 8:51am

Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion outside of Dover.

Troopers say around 11 o’clock Monday night, a man went into the garage of his home on Boxton Court in the Lakeshore Village community. While the door was open, four or five masked men burst in and began assaulting him while demanding drugs and money. The intruders then woke up his 14-year-old sister and forced them both into the basement. The robbers then took computers, flat-screen TVs and cell phones before running off. The man received minor injuries from the assault, but declined medical treatment.

Troopers are looking for four or five men who were wearing dark clothing, black masks and gloves. State Police say this home invasion wasn’t a random act, and the man may have been targeted.
