Delaware Electric Cooperative Issues "Beat The Peak" For Tonight, Tomorrow Morning

Nov 12, 2013 -- 12:20pm

The colder temperatures, gusty winds and even snow flurries will be causing people to turn up the heat both tonight and tomorrow morning.

The Delaware Electric Cooperative has issued “Beat the Peak” Advisories for 5 to 8 tonight and 6 and 8 tomorrow morning. Temperatures are forecast to be about 15 degrees below average. Members are asked to turn off unnecessary lights and appliances, delay the use of major appliances like dishwashers and washing machines, and turn their thermostats down by a few degrees.
