Middle school students will be getting instruction from doctors on how to live healthy this week.
Governor Jack Markell has proclaimed this week “Healthy Living Week” in Delaware. As part of the week, physicians who are members of the Medical Society of Delaware will go to 20 middle schools and speak to 7th-graders about healthy living. The talks will cover everything from eating healthy to the dangers of using substances to cyber-bullying and sports injuries.
In Sussex County, Beacon Middle School in Rehoboth, Mariner Middle School in Milton, Seaford Middle School, Georgetown Middle School and the Southern Delaware School of the Arts in Selbyville will all get visits from doctors.
