Downstate Lawmakers Join Fight to Keep Social Security in Georgetown

Delaware lawmakers have joined the controversy over the planned move of the Georgetown Social Security Office.  Seven downstate lawmakers have joined forces and sent a letter to the Delaware Congressional Delegation to protest the relocation of the Georgetown Social Security Administration to west of Lewes.  The current lease on the Georgetown property is about to expire, and they agree that it makes little sense to move the Social Security office from the center of the County.   They’re ask asking the federal delegates for support in retaining the Social Security office in Georgetown.
