Recommendations for adapting to sea level rise in Delaware have been released by the state’s Seal Level Rise Advisory Committee. Their final report – “Preparing for Tomorrow’s High Tide: Recommendations for Adapting to Seal Level Rise in Delaware” marks the completion of the committee’s work. The recommend a focus on building the state’s ability to make informed decision about adaptation strategies rather than specific actions that should be taken at a specific location. DNREC officials says they have begun making strategic investments to improve dams, dikes, impoundments and drainage and storm water systems.
