Delaware State Police say no one was injured when a train hit a pickup truck this morning in Camden-Wyoming.
The accident happened around 3 a.m. as 32-year-old Jacob Founds of Dover was southbound on North Railroad Avenue in his Ford Ranger attempting to turn eastbound on West Camden-Wyoming Avenue. Police say Founds began his turn too soon and lodged his pickup truck across the tracks; he was able to exit the pickup and tired to dislodge his truck. A few minutes later, a Norfolk Southern Train, pulling 99 empty hopper cars approached and struck the pickup, pushing it some 30 feet.
When police arrived, they arrested Founds for DUI and not having proof of insurance.
