Just after 6 this morning fire crews from Georgetown and several other fire Companies were called to the RoDi Heritage Farm – the home of Lawson’s Produce for a structure fire. Fire crews found the barn heavily involved in fire and many vehicles, tractors, equipment were lost. Firefighters were able to pull a 1949 stake body truck from the burning building to permit preservation. Inside the building was also supplies, hay and welding materials and propane tank exposures.
Assisting Georgetown firefighters were crews from Lewes, Milton, Indian River, Rehoboth Beach, Ellendale and Memorial. The state Fire Marshal is investigating.
