UPDATED: Crash South of Harrington Leaves Milford Man Dead

UPDATED – 10/3  12:30pm – A crash south of Harrington Tuesday after noon remains under investigation but Delaware State Police have released the name of the victim in the crash.  Police say 21 year old Anthony Mcrae of Milford was ejected from his car and his body struck by an SUV near the intersection of Route 13 and Tower Hill Road.  Police say a trailer hauling a lawn mower detached from a pickup and went through the median into Mcrae’s car.

A Milford man is dead after a crash on Route 13 at Tower Hill Road south of Harrington. Delaware State Police say a trailer hauling a Toro lawn mower detached from a pickup that was northbound on Route 13. The trailer crossed the median and collided with a Maxima in the southbound lane driven by a 21 year old man from Milford. He was not properly restrained and was ejected from the car and struck my another southbound SUV and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV was treated for injuries and released. The southbound lanes of Route 13 were closed for over 7 hours – the investigation is continuing.
