Delaware State Representative Harvey Kenton announcing he will retire at the end of his current term. Kenton cited his age as a main factor, and says he came to the decision after discussions with his wife and colleagues. The race to replace Kenton has already been set: Milford Mayor Brian Shupe filed for candidacy yesterday. Shupe, a Milford native, has spent the past 4 years as the city’s Mayor, and says he’s honored to have the backing of Rep. Kenton and State Senator Gary Simpson. In November, Shupe will square off against Donald Allan Jr., who is a Milton resident and carpenter by trade, in November.
