In the wake of news reports from across the country concerning water quality, Delaware State Senator Greg Lavelle, a Sharpley Republican, has asked DNREC Secretary David Small and Public Service Commission Chairman Dallas Winslow for information about the state’s review of drinking water supplies. Senator Lavelle says the recent events in Flint, Michigan, have made the safety of Delaware’s water supply of the utmost importance. The letter asks the state officials to confirm how their organizations test, monitor, or confirm that drinking water supplies are safe and checked on a regular and reasonable basis.
