Delaware explores deer management program Redden State Park

Hermann-Financial

The Delaware Forest Service is working on a one year pilot program for hunting Whitetail deer in Redden State Forest. The program would offer up two tracts of land to potential bidders for exclusive hunting rights to help manage the deer population from September through January. After the hunting season, Forest Service staff and DNREC wildlife biologists will assess the effectiveness of the deer management program to determine if it should continue in future years. Officials say the full details will be released later this Spring.
