Delaware Motorcycle Riders May Soon Have To Wear A Helmet

AAA Mid-Atlantic is backing legislation that would make your ride on your motorcycle a bit safer, but would take away one of your freedoms. AAA Public and Government Affairs Manager Ken Grant testified before the House of Public Safety in favor of House Bill 14- a bill that would require every motorcyclist to wear a helmet- starting immediately. Under current Delaware law, you’re required to have a helmet in your possession if you’re over 19-years-old, but you don’t have to wear. This would change if the House Bill is passed. Delaware would become the 20th state to mandate wearing a helmet every time you ride.
