Dewey Beach PD Arrest 2 Men For Robbery Of $20K Rolex Watch


Dewey Beach police have arrested two men for robbing a 30-year-old Rehoboth Beach man of his $20,000 Rolex watch.

On Saturday, August 5, 2017, at 1:45 a.m., police responded to the 2000 block of Coastal Highway for the reported robbery.  Arriving officers found the victim with a visible injury to his head, police said.

The victim stated he attended a party and was lured to an outside third-floor balcony by the defendants, 21-year-old Michael Miller of Lewes and 24-year-old McGregor Bernadine of Smyrna.

The victim stated while on the balcony, both defendants struck him in the head which caused him to lose consciousness.  When he woke, he found that his Rolex watch, valued at $20,000, was missing.

Both Defendants were positively identified by the victim and they were taken into custody, police said.  During a search of the crime scene officers recovered the Rolex Watch which was hidden in close proximity to the scene.

Both defendants were taken to the Dewey Beach Police Department and were charged with Robbery 1st degree and Conspiracy 2nd degree. They were committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of a $22,000 bond.
