DNREC Summer Youth Academy

If you’re looking for something your nature and law loving 12-15-year-old can do this summer, then DNREC has your answer. Fish and Wildlife Natural Resources Police are now accepting applications for the second annual summer youth academy. This course will teach kids boat and hunting safety and how to protect natural resources. Three different sessions are available for the summer. The first runs from June 26-30, from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Little Creek Hunter Education Center in Dover. The deadline to apply for this is May 19. The next two will be in New Castle in July and August, and the second of these is an advanced group. Each group will cap at 20 students.
