Two criminal trials of defendants in the Vaughn Trials have resulted in just one conviction for murder.  State Prosecutors have evaluated the evidence against the remaining nine defendants and have notified the court that the State will only continue forward with charges against Roman Shankaras, Lawrence Michaels and Alejandro Rodriguez-Ortiz.  Shankaras will be tried in April and the other two in October.  Officials in the AG’s office have informed the victims of these changes, but no further statements on the decision will be made because of the still-pending criminal cases.
