Dover Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Bust

A routine traffic stop on SR1 southbound led to the arrest of two Virginia women on charges of drug possession and carrying a concealed weapon. The two women were pulled after they were caught speeding. Upon arrival, police smelled marijuana in the car, which prompted a search. Police found just over 1.5 grams of cocaine, over 2 grams of marijuana and a .45 caliber handgun, which was reported stolen in August. The two were arrested for a slew of offenses and are being held on bails upwards of $40,000 each.
