Dover wastewater station experiences critical failure

In Dover– massive failure at the wastewater station. Delaware State News reporting a critical failure force the pumps to shutdown and portions of Route 13 were closed briefly as a result. Officials were quick to note the problem does not affect the city’s drinking water supply, emphasizing that the drinking water and wastewater system are completely separated. The cause of the failure remains unknown, however, Dover had a bypass pump delivered from New Jersey to ensure wastewater continues to flow until the problem is fixed.
