UPDATE 1/15: Serial armed robbers strike again in Sussex County. Delaware State Police confirming that a robbery last week in the Walkers Mill Mobile Home Park in Bridgeville matches the MO of 4 other armed robberies that occurred from Georgetown to Seaford in late December.
On January 11th a woman and her three children were pulling into her driveway on 3rd Street, when another vehicle pulled in behind, blocking them in. Two suspects with handguns approached the front doors of the vehicle, demanding money. One suspect rifled through the woman’s pockets while holding a gun to her. After taking cash, the two suspects fled.
First suspect described as a tall Hispanic male with curly hair and facial hair on his chin, he was wearing coveralls and a hooded jacket. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a heavier build, also wearing a hooded jacket. The getaway car is described as a four door, dark colored passenger vehicle. Four other robberies with similar MOs occurred across the county over the weekend of Dec. 29 – 31. Anyone with information about these incidents are asked to contact satate police.
Delaware State Police are investigating a fourth armed robbery in connection to a crime spree from Georgetown to Seaford. The latest incident occurred in Bridgeville on New Years Eve. According to Police around 10 PM a person was sitting in their vehicle in the Walkers Mill Mobile Home Park, when two suspects approached the car and opened the driver’s side door. One suspect pulled a gun and demanded the victim’s wallet and cell phone. The second suspect patted the victim down, and both fled after getting the loot. The suspects are described as two Hispanic males about 6 feet tall. Both were wearing dark colored hoodies with the hoods covering their faces, their vehicle was a four door dark colored sedan. Police say due to the similar MO they beleive the incidents are connected to 3 armed robberies that occurred over 3 hours on Firday night. Three robberies that occurred Friday evening are under investigation by the Delaware State Police. The first occurred in Sand Hill Acres in Georgetown around 7:30 when three male suspects in a vehicle approached a victim riding his bike. One suspect was armed with a gun and the other two searched the victim’s pockets – taking a cell phone. About an hour later in Mobile Gardens in Seaford, two suspects approached a victim outside of his home – one was armed and they took the victim’s wallet and cell phone. A third robbery occurred on Cannon Road near Bridgeville just after 10 when four suspects contacted a victim outside of his home. One was armed and demanded the victim’s wallet. Two victims describe the vehicle as dark in color and the victim of the Seaford robbery told police the suspect who displayed an unknown type of handgun was a Hispanic male approximately 5′ 7″ to 5′ 8″ tall, 145 lbs., with short facial hair and wearing a dark colored sweater. The second suspect was wearing a mask over his face and is about 5′ 3″ tall, 150 lbs., wearing a dark colored sweater. If you have any information – contact Crime Stoppers.
