Felton Man Charged After Domestic Assault


Harrington Police arrested William B. Lewis Jr., 41, of Felton after police responded to a domestic dispute in progress. While on patrol, police were called to a residence in West Street Manor for a report of a domestic dispute in progress. When police arrived they contacted the victim who reported to police that she was assaulted by Mr. Lewis. Police determined that the victim, who is the sister of Mr. Lewis, was engaged in a verbal argument with him which then escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, Mr. Lewis hit the victim in her face causing minor injuries and fled the residence.

Mr. Lewis was later taken into custody at his residence by the Delaware State Police and turned over to the Harrington Police Department. He was then charged with one count of Offensive Touching and was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 7. He was released on $250 unsecured bond.
